Getting prettier with smoothies!?

Let’s take advantage of the fact, that shelves in grocery stores are collapsing with fruits and vegetables to make heavenly smoothies with!

We’ve mentioned this already in previous blogs, cosmetics aren’t the only means to make our skin glow healthy and your hair shiny, what happens within your body counts too. During summer we can barely choose amongst the delicious fruits and vegetables, filled with vitamins and minerals, making it really easy if we want to put together a beautifying smoothie. We’ll show you 3 divine recipes, which aren’t only great in this summer heat but double as a beauty therapy as well.

Hair Strengthening Wonder

Ingredients:

1.5 cups almond milk or cashew milk

 1 cup blueberries (can be frozen blueberries)

 1 banana

 3-4 spinach leaves

 1 handful of walnuts

 1 spoon of coconut oil

Preparation: cut up the walnuts and bananas, and put all the ingredients into the blender. Blend until smooth.

Why is it effective?

– The blueberries are rich in antioxidants, which our cells need

– Nut milk and nuts, like walnuts, aren’t only rich in protein, which is needed to produce keratin, but contain Magnesium and Omega3 fatty acids, which help make your hair shiny.

– We can find vitamin B in bananas, which helps to regenerate your hair

– Spinach and other dark-leaved vegetables are rich in iron, folic acid, and calcium and have some of the best cosmetic effects.

Watermelon-y Refreshment

Ingredients:

1 big slice of watermelon

 2 cups of almond milk

 Mint leaves (according to taste)

Preparation: cut the watermelon into pieces, separate its seeds, and put it in the freezer overnight. Take the frozen cubes and put it into a blender with milk, blend until pulpy. Add some mint to the top of the smoothie.

Why is it effective?

– Watermelon is a great summer beauty weapon. It’s filled with vitamin C and A. Vitamin C encourages the production of collagen, making hair stronger and skin more resilient. Vitamin A helps with split ends and dry skin. Furthermore, let us not forget that watermelon has high water content, making it an excellent source of hydration.

– Almond milk is rich in E vitamin and healthy fats.

Glowing Sunset

Ingredients:

1 cup of coconut water

 1 cup of strawberries

 1 cup baby carrots or 2 smaller carrots

 1 cup of mango

 1 orange

Preparation: cut the orange, carrots, and mango into smaller pieces, rinse the strawberries then blend them all with coconut water.

Why is it effective?

– Coconut water is a very good source for hydration, so during the summer you may try to drink coconut water anyway

– Mango is basically the vitamin bomb, it contains not only vitamins A, B, and E but vitamin K as well! This will leave your skin and hair shinier than ever

– Orange gives you an extra dose of vitamin C and antioxidants while helping your body with its blood production.

– Don’t forget carrots if you want a stronger and thicker head of hair, because it’s rich in vitamins A and C
